Citizens Information

About us

The Citizens Information Board is a national agency that gives information, advice and advocacy on social services. This includes information on entitlements and benefits for children with disabilities and their families.

You can get Citizens Information in over 260 locations across Ireland. Your local Citizens Information Service:

  • is free and independent;
  • is a private service;
  • gives information;
  • staff will answer your questions.  

Our Services

Your local Citizens Information Service will:

  • give you information on your rights;
  • help you get what you are entitled to;
  • give you information on payments and allowances;
  • help you to fill out forms; and 
  • help you with an appeal or to make a complaint.

The Service gives information on:

  • social welfare payments;
  • housing;
  • employment rights;
  • education and training; and
  • health.

  • dropping in to one of the 260 Citizens Information locations nationwide.
