Государственная федерация волонтёрских учреждений (National Federation of Voluntary Bodies) по предоставлению услуг людям с умственной отсталостью (Providing Services to People with Intellectual Disability) - это государственная головная организация для волонтерских и неофициальных органов, которая непосредственно предоставляет услуги людям с умственной отсталостью. Она имеет 62 членские организации по всей Ирландии, которые обеспечивают услугами 22.000 человек с умственной отсталостью, а также их семьи.

Государственная федерация работает на основе четырех принципов, в соответствии с которым люди с умственной отсталостью имеют следующие права:

Наши услуги

Многие из этих организаций-членов оказывают услуги на ранней стадии. Государственная федерация оказывает содействие в обеспечении равных возможностей для людей с умственной отсталостью с помощью такой деятельности как:

  • предоставление информации;
  • развитие анализа качества для предъявления доказательств соответствия государственной и международной передовой практики;
  • лоббистская деятельность на государственном и международном уровне и
  • работа с организациями, занимающимися защитой людей с умственной отсталостью.

About us

The National Federation of Voluntary Bodies Providing Services to People with Intellectual Disability is a national umbrella organisation for voluntary and non-statutory agencies that give direct services to people with intellectual disability. It has 62 member organisations thorughout Ireland that deliver services to 22,000 people with an intellectual disability and their families.

The National Federation works on the basis of four main principles - that people with an intellectual disability have the right to:

  • live an ordinary life in their own community;
  • be treated as an individual with dignity and respect;
  • get support in developing their highest potential; and
  • take part in decisions affecting their lives.

Our services

The National Federation of Voluntary Bodies offers and develops high quality, person-centred services. Many of its member organisations deliver early services. Early Services in some areas are provided directly by the HSE.

The National Federation also seeks to promote equal opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities through activities such as:

  • sharing information;
  • developing quality research to offer evidence and meet national and international best practice;
  • lobbying on a national and international basis; and
  • working with advocacy organisations for people with an intellectual disability.

The Informing Families Best Practice Guidelines and this website (www.informingfamilies.ie) were developed by the National Federation of Voluntary Bodies as part of their work as advocates for people with disabilites and their families.
